We would like to take this opportunity to let you know what we have been doing so far this year.
Our
shorty clutches and vented variators for the 150 and 250's are a big
hit! People all over the U.S. are talking about them and wanting more! Shortly after coming out with the CN250 shorty clutch kit, many have asked us to build a CFMoto version. We heard you and are producing them as we speak! We expect our CFMoto version to be here in a couple weeks! It
has been a long road to test our prototype version and we will have a
couple that we will offer to our Prototesters at huge discounts in
exchange for testing several roller and spring setups for us.
What is a ProtoTester you ask? Since
there are hundreds of Scooters and buggy brands, there is no way we
could test them all, on our own, in a short period of time! We just
designed our New Prototesters club! View our current Prototesters! This is where YOU can be a part of the performance research and design! We
are looking for folks that are innovative, patient and handy with tools
and a camera to try out a slew of setup options for us! Log on to KidNmeParts.com
and sign up today and you could be the next ProtoTester to grace our
web site with your ideas and setups! It's a big job to be sure but
there are great rewards too!
What is next on the KidNme parts list? We are working several more performance part projects now such as:
- An inexpensive "slip on" exhaust kit for the 150 and 250cc buggies.
- Top end kit for the 150 to boost HP 25% to a 200cc!
- IRS (Independant rear suspension) bolt on for 150 buggies
- "Bolt on" Manual 2-3 speed shifter for most 150/250 buggies
You never know what we'll come up with next! Neither do we
Have you seen our latest videos? We
try to keep our members from spending a ton at a service shop by
showing you step by step, how to install performance parts and
troubleshoot common problems. Now, we won't show you how to rebuild
your motor, as this can't be done in a 10 minute video and 95% or our
members wouldn't do it even if we could show them in 10 minutes. We do
show you the most common, easy to do upgrades in hopes of getting you
out in your garage with your son or daughter and start on that exciting
road of modifications and family bonding!
You can find our videos on YouTube and in our "Virtual Service center page" on our web site. (You must be logged in to view install videos on our site)
Have an idea or install/troubleshooting video you'd like to see us do? Send us and email describing what you would like to see next from KidNme! Keep
in mind, it needs to be something that anyone can do with a little
help, common tools and be inexpensive to do and can be done in 30
minutes or less. We want to help everyone we can and your ideas are a big part of that!
It's always something! We recently had a server crash and lost our web site for a few days! We
have restored almost everything and are at about 95%. We are working
hard to get everything back up and running and thank you for your
patients! We are growing very fast and it can be painful at times!

Well, Another Spring will turn into another summer and here on the East coast, everyone is getting ready for our riding season.
All winter, KidNme has been developing some very unique performance parts to be ready for this mad rush to the race circuit! Their Super CDI/Coil combo lets us start our engines quicker in the bitter cold we have had here this year and adds some power all through the powerband! Did we mention that it also has digital adjustable ignition timing?
The DR2 Variator for GY6 150cc owners is now allowing our members to get all the low end torque (Great for that holeshot!) without losing any top end!
Their Shorty clutch kit really amps up the takeoff torque AND adds a couple more mph to your ride! These two parts alone is going to make our racing series even more exciting. We can't wait to see what our MBRA members will do with their setups but we are sure we will get some valuable information to help KidNme design even better parts!
Since 2005, KidNme has been working on the CVT (Transmission) of our buggies to get more power. Now that they have completed their first wave of performance parts, they are now working on the Exhaust systems and engine components that will also be easy to bolt on.
Their factory overseas is working overtime to help us get ready. We have some new engine parts being installed into our own Kinroad single seater 150 as we speak that is sure to turn some heads and will be unveiled at the national rally at ST. Joe park in Missouri this summer! We don't want to give up ALL our secrets just yet!
If you are looking for a group to ride with, look to the links to the left for a group near you or start your own! If you are looking for easy bolt on parts or help with installing them or just some advice of how you may be able to beat them this year, check out their link on the left, "KidNmeParts". They would be happy to help you out and we all hope we see you at the races!

Here on the East coast, we have had snow dumped on us in record numbers!
Bad news is, I hate shoveling snow but the good news is, we have had more time to do some research and have added several more members to help us all test new setups.

Last year KidNme came out with a lighter and vented variator for the 150cc and the 250cc motors. This year they have improved on that! Their new DR2 variator has people all over the U.S. and abroad talking about KidNme parts and they can't seem to make enough shorty clutch kits to keep up to the demand!
The coolest thing about these parts is we will have a great chance at kicking some butt in the MBRA's NEW Racing leagues Having said that, At the MBRA, we are all about family fun without all the stress involved in other racing leagues. Our Buggy Games and unique track designs assures a competitive race regardless of what size machine you may have. We have done our best to make our games and races cater more to driver ability rather than performance parts installed. Don't get me wrong, a few well placed parts could make the difference in a close race but you can be competitive and have fun even if you come stock!
Kruse Kontrol has been doing a bang up job in helping groups get organized in the MBRA all over the country and it looks like they may break out of their shell this year! We've been perfecting our organization and getting plenty of feedback from our members for the past few years and now have a great program that will benefit members all over the world! We already have 5 groups running in the U.S. and many more on the list, raring to get started.
KidNme has added a ProtoTesters club to the MBRA mix and this is going to allow everyone to see what others are doing to hop up their rides from a real world perspective. They take individuals from all over the country and help them set up their rides to what works best for their brand buggy & riding styles. You can watch and grow along with them as they progress through their mods with what works and what doesn't. A super program with some super people!
It's been a long winter and we are ready to get out and kick up some dust!
We will be attending the 5th annual BuggyNews Buggy bash in Missouri on June 21-27th and are really looking forward to meeting some new members and hooking up with some old friends! If you have some free time late in June, stop by St. Joe State park any time during the rally and say hi! We'd love to meet you!

Well, spring has sprung and things are starting to kick into gear!
We've spent most of the off season (Us North East guys anyways), meeting manufacturers, camp ground and land owners, members and customers and learning the in's and out's of CN/CF250 and the GY6 engines and parts development for them in an effort to build the best, helpful organization there is in the buggy world.
To that end, KidNme Motorsports has made friends with a great company in Tiawan, MotoRio. They manufacture Performance parts and are working with us to provide better quality parts that will make the most out of our upgrades. Many upgrades as we know them now are better than stock but are in no way "the best way" to do it. Tiawan takes pride in their quality in manufacturing and we are glad to help MotoRio enter into the United States to show us why the Chinese parts we are now getting, are inferior in every way. We are finding that there are some changes we need to make to have them work as they should in a buggy. Many of the CVT parts we dealers sell are made with a scooter weight in mind. Our buggies are heavier and need a different setup for better results. We are testing some new parts from MotoRio in the near future that should allow us to get a lot more "ooomph" out of the type parts we're now using AND, as a bonus, we should be able to keep the pricing down for our members!!
As an example, In development is an exhaust system that will create a little more back pressure in order to improve on the low end torque in our buggies. At this time, we will develop only the top 4 buggies in the 150 and 250 range due to money constraints.
We are also trying out a clutch system that is almost half the width & weight of the standard clutch to improve on the power transfer in a buggy. We are testing a new digital CDI/Coil package that will do wonders for your top end and eliminates the length issue we have on some buggies and we've tested and approved a new variator that is lighter and moves more air for both the 150 and 250 buggies!! So much going on and only so many hours in a day!
On the riding side, KidNme is picking up a couple 150's to lend out at rallies, charity functions and members who are in the "looking stage". We hope to build a large fleet of these "loaner buggies" so we can travel with them to areas all over the U.S. promoting this sport.
Our illustrious VP of operations Vincent Kruse, has been busting tail with land owners to develop rental properties where new members can go to rent a buggy and existing members can go to ride. We have a few places in development and hope to have a few new places for everyone to ride this summer!
As a side note, Tom & Ryan at KidNme will be putting out a whole new set of upgrade videos this season so get your requests in now before we start filming!
All in all, we are 1 year better and about 3 leagues & 40 members stronger than 2008! Our MBRA members will see the benefits of our labor this summer! Stay tuned and Join the MBRA!

Well, it was a long 4 days at the show but it actually went very fast! Tom, Ryan and Vinny talked to as many people in our business as we could.
Brimstone riding park in Tenn had a booth set up and was very interested in our groups. They have miles and miles of trails and are willing to cut a few more for our buggies if we can show them we'll come out in force. We will be heading up there to impress them in person as soon as we can afford the time!
We also stopped by the Kinroad booth and inspected the new 150 and 250 they have this year. They revamped the front suspension and made some aesthetic changes. They also redid the wiring harness to make it all one piece and added a winch. We did run into a couple problems that Mike Yuen said he would fix, we'll see. The biggest issue we had with the new models was the head room. Kinroad is putting cargo racks on the top of their buggies. This puts the top of the cage about 2 1/2" from the top of a bare head. Put a helmet on and we can see that your head will be bashed quite a bit on rough surfaces. We hope Michael fixes this issue. The other problem, and a minor one at that, were the front fenders. The bend in them looks to be too far down and with it being attached to the body frame, it may lessen the travel you can get as the tire hits the inside of the fender. An easy fix but we hope they do it at the factory. The 150 MAY also be under powered as it looks to be heavier than last years models however, we couldn't test it at the show. Other than that and not being able to test drive it, we think Kinroad has a pretty cool buggy. Check out all the lights!
If you look at the left front brake line, it was run under the
"A"-arm. A great reason to have a certified dealer put it together for
you.

Hammerhead off road had a pretty good showing and we spent a lot of time in their booth. They don't have much of anything "new" coming out this year with the exception of the GT250. A GT150 with a 250 engine stuffed into it. They got rid of the shaft drive and independent rear to lower the price and we think it will be a hot seller at around $1000 less retail than the SS250. On some new news from Hammerhead, they have started Hammerhead Performance. They intend on selling performance parts that specifically fit the Hammerhead line. We got a sneak peek at some of their new line with a very light aluminum clutch bell, custom exhaust caps with Hammerhead etched on them in 5 colors, roller weights from Koso, springs and a whole slew of accessories for their karts and their Adly scooters. We'll keep an eye on them this year to see what develops from their new group. A relative newcomer is JCL USA. They had a nice booth and a couple buggies. A Suburu 450 that looks really sweet and their 250 model is nice but very heavy looking. At around 65" wide, it puts them out of our ATV trail riding places on the East coast for the most part.
Unfortunatly, there wasn't much more to see in the mini buggy market. There were a couple 750cc and 1100 cc buggies form some others such as Redline and Quicksand performance but the price tags were between $8,000 and $26,000!! Maybe when we're rich and famous!
On the performance side, MRP has hooked up with the Spanish company, TurboKit to build variators and exhausts for them. We spoke with their president, Fransisco all weekend about their new line of exhausts and we were very impressed. We don't think you're going to see killer pricing on them as they are really, top end exhausts but we can't wait to see some of the numbers he was telling us about in testing. TK also has a new style variator and roller weights. This thing looks totally different than what we're used to seeing. We will also get one of these to test here soon.

We can't wait for the next show in Vegas! I've never been but there's always a first time for everything right? Here's a link to a video we did at the show...Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKv1zq5PI1c
